Twice a year we hold sidewalk sales of our excess inventory to generate proceeds for local literacy programs. During these two day sales, most books sell for $1 while many others are priced as low as $0.50 and $0.25.

To date we are proud to have donated to the following local literacy programs:

Many Mansions is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing affordable housing to low-income residents in the Conejo Valley. In addition to housing, they provide many additional services, including a Homework/Literacy program for children. This program helps over 100 children during the school year in an after-school program. The children receive help from staff and volunteers with schoolwork and have access to an on-site library and computers. (Many Mansions)

This literacy program provides adults with the literacy skills necessary to function effectively in society. The program has 150 tutors helping 170 students with the basic literacy skills of reading, writing and spelling. (Conejo Valley Adult School)
